I am trying to get into my groups but I am repeatedly asked to create a profile, which I’ve already done. I cannot view either of my groups because I keep getting this aggravating message.

I have recently required a membership and I check everyday to see if you have accepted me .It says membership waiting fo approval. I know now you are having problems with the system,but when you have the chance can you see if I´m appoved our not .Thank You so much for your time.

I repeatedly am asked to create a profile and am having what seems to be a problem simular to others in my group because I have already done this. I can get to the screen where it tells me ‘how many comments’ and the date of each. It’s frustrating that I cannot get any further. Can you help?

Why should a profile be absolutely necessary?
Some of the greatest advances in the sciences, and arts have been undertaken by people who have had little, or no qualifications?
Why this academic snobbery especially in a subject like Economics which itself has LITTLE CREDIBILITY? It would arguably be different if we were dealing with physics, and chemistry ?
Did Keynes, Marx,Kelso have a degree in economics? Apparently not and yet they made an impact in the world unlike perhaps most of the academics living, or dead?
I despise academic snobbery.If a person can come with good ideas irrespective of their so-called qualifications but can contribute in novels ways then he should not be excluded from any intellectual elite.
Anyway, my work in progress project (ie TRANSFINANCIAL ECONOMICS)may be of interest but unfortunately it requires VISION, AND NEW UNDERSTANDING UNLIKE THE STALE ACADEMIC ECONOMICS. Can we understand this point….???

Trying to get onto Freecycle.org is the hardest site I have EVER tried to log onto. I have tried several times and ways, and cannot get on. I can’t help recycle if it isn’t user friendly. Very disappointed with it.

I am a member of quite a few yahoo groups and am not a new yahoo group member. In the past few weeks I joined a new group and very oddly when i post to this group it will get posted but I will never receive this email. Only when someone replies to that email will I see it and another user complained also that they weren’t receiving these emails from me, but did get the reply from another member. The emails are on the group site, but it doesn’t appear they are being distributed correctly.

I have tried 2 times to put something on freecycle portjervis area and it’s not showing up, what is problem? I have been using this system for years and never had any problems, I am sure it has to be a program glitch of some sorts, but please correct it. I have an item I want to give to some one who could use it rather that just throw it away. I have no other way that I know of to contact anyone else. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I have several group members (including myself as the moderator) have tmobile sidekick and been having trouble receiving or long delays yahoogroup email? It’s an ongoing issue…how can we solve this? Sadly, it’s causing some of them wanting to quit yahoogroup.

For well over a month I have been trying to post a few items in the Freecycleforterie Want Ads. I have signed in all the areas I was told to , with no LUCK !! How are we suppose to recycle if we cannot get in the Website………. tired of trying!!!

Cant seem to get the messages from freecycle and many times the item comes on “taken” yet I never saw a post for it. are moderators getting the chance to get the stuff first and not approving post?

I do belong to other groups and not sure where to ask this question. I applied to be a member here at this group a few days ago, well almost a week now and I am still awaiting approval. May I ask what is taking so long to be approved? All the other groups you would know within a few minutes,hours the most. Please let me know on this matter. Thanks Bill

Well the post was finally posted 6 days later and the item was taken, I tried to post that it was taken on Nov. 19th and it still has not posted as of today. I have not idea why it is taking so long but I will not be using the Port Jervis Area any longer. I know that Orange County told me that I had to use my area but if I have this much trouble how can I. I have even emailed the owner of the group with no response.

ok, it seems to me that the rules are not straight about posting wanted ,
i tried to post a few wanted thing a few weeks ago and the moderator sent back that you can only post wanted ads 2x week. well sice then i been watching different members and see that they are posting more then 2 wanted ads a week. so Can someone please let everyone know what the rules are and why is it some ppl can post more then aothers? are they the mediator doing this or friends of them or what!
