A heads up suggestion. Readers who suffer from cataracts have trouble
differentiating the color yellow. The color yellow appears as white. So, please don’t use yellow text in your website notices.

Is there a way for moderators who live in Europe to hold a sort of conference here as well? I mean we are also doing things for our communities and we struggle sometimes with many additiona issues as for example language issues (my Yahoo group is in Greek) and the encoding causes many issues that make messages look like hieroglyphics when sent in a digest form to name one of the issues. It would be helpful to have a way to bring these issues forth and see if there is a way to solve them.

    Thank you

Frank Smith’s comment deserves consideration. Further, 20% of all males are color blind meaning they have difficulty seeing pale colors and variations. Especially Red on Black or vice versa.

I wish I could attend as I do live in the area but I recently had a baby so thats out of the question. With that being said I do have a few suggestions.
( I run a Freecycle group in my community I have ran it for 4yrs now. )

E-mail preferences - Group owners should be able to choose the e-mail preferences they want avaliable for their group members to choose from.
( I do not allow no mail in my group so would be nice for this option to just not be avalible to group members.)

Bouncing - Group members that are bouncing should be sent activation request automatically for lets say 1 week daily. If still in bounce status after 1 week the system should automatically purge the group member.
( No point in keeping your systems jammed with bouncers.)

Page design - You need to make our group pages more appealing.
( Something us owners can really get into playing with like myspace.)

Email problems - Some emails go to group page but never to group members inboxes.
( This I know has been an ongoing issue of yahoo groups for as long as I can remember)

I do want to thank yahoo for creating a place such as the groups for everyone to find groups of every kind. Keep up the good work and fix those bugs ;)
