HTML code in messages and Groups site slowness

Update: 6/13 – The Y! Mail team is still working towards finding resolution to this issue. I am terribly sorry for the continued inconvenience. I’ll post an update when this issue gets resolved.

We are aware that there is a Yahoo! Mail issue that is currently causing some users to see html code (ex. “nbsp;”) within some Groups messages. We are currently working to resolve this issue and apologize for any inconvenience.

On a brighter note, we believe the problem causing some groups to have long load times, particularly when trying to access pending messages, has been fixed. If you find that you are still experiencing problems with long load times, please contact Customer Care at: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/original/general.html.

Thank you,
Jami

    My group is QuiltersBee and CyberQuilters
    - we are still seeing the dreaded html code &nbsp: for “no break spaces” sporatically.
    Are the techs any closer to a repair?

    FYI hughes.net is blocking all yahoo mail in enhanced format. The message that I’m bouncing doesn’t even get through anymore.

    I’ve had to unbounce myself twice or more daily even though I’ve changed it back to traditional format. Hughes stinks! Wish I didn’t live so far out in the boonies at times.

    We were having no problems, now we are suddenly getting the html code. On the plus side, our upload download load time is much better.

    Whats the deal with Yahoo Groups crashing our browser? When using Yahoo Groups the browser freezes up! Then we get a error message saying it needs to close! It happens with every browser we try and use! This problem better get fixed ASAP we can’t moderate our groups and groups we help friends moderate due to the constant crashes! Six or more times this morning is a bit too much and over 9 times on Saturday!

    The Y! Groups problems addressed here still have not been rectified. I waited for almost 2 minutes for one of my groups to open. This is an exceptionally long time, considering that in previous times the groups opened almost instantaneously. Sometimes it seems that when work is being done on some feature it just causes more problems. Very disappointing indeed.

    I’m so new to all this I’m not even sure what the true definition of “spamming” means. I’m going to look it up after I read the rest of these topics. Stay safe.

    hi
    Jami and other yahoo tech people !
    Iam repeating problem is not only of HTML tags but also of JUNK characters like ” music ;  “. ( thts A with a cap ? )

    please look into this matter urgently as many of the archived mails and messages are getting non readble due to lot of such characters !
    since sometimes lot of important info are shared by our grp members on big artists , which might get difficult to read by future members !

    And also its important since yahoo wont like the members to switch to some inferior mail.
    I knw yahoo people are trying but Just want them to take it urgently . :-)

    Thanks again

    Sonu

    PS : BTY if newer Yahoo IDs are not giving this problem we can ask our member to make a new yahoo ID till this probelm is over? ( we just got few dozen posters )

    Well, I just posted in a new Yahoo Group w/the “BETA” text editor (html?).

    While my post looks fine when you click on it, when it’s viewed in the main ‘home’ page, it shows the html code.

    Strange design.

    Hmmmmm?

    My group is seeing large amounts of junk letters. These are junk ASCII letters, has nothing to do with HTML. I am suspicious of the BETA rich text editor and will tell the members not to use it, and see if that helps. Here is a small sample of what I received in my text-only mail box:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I’m sorry the list response here isn’t what was expected and in all honesty I am a bit confused. There really wasn’t anything all that newsworthy in XXX doing a blog to promote YYY’s latest project. If it was a XXX project, and with this being, “XXX’s GroupName” - I am sure a few more people would’ve come out of the woodwork to post.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Only the names were changed to protect the innocent.

    The message appeared the same on the group web page.
