Issues with Groups Photos

**Update: May 29th 1:30 PM PT -
We are aware that some Groups users are experiencing issues with photos within their groups including:
- A red X instead of a homepage photo
- Inability to upload photos
- Timing out when attempting to upload photos
We are working to identify the root cause of this issue and will fix it quickly as possible. I’ll post updates as I get them.

I can’t upload pictures to my groups and I can’t send any messages to stop bouncing of my email! Every time I try to send a reactivation request, I get the same “Group Cannot Be Found” error message!

Ive been searching high and low for a reason Im out about 5000 emails (most work related) I thought it was a yahoo thing.. so your saying its a Comcast/hacker issue.. is there a place a can go read about this issue??

I also have not received any Yahoo group e-mails all day, but use Comcast, so I guess that is the issue. The weird thing, however, is that I have received e-mail from other sources, just not Yahoo.

I just finished talking with comcast. they claim that comcast.net was redirected for updating.. so that all mail is still being held (only problem with this.. is I too have rec’d all emails from ALL place EXCEPT YAHOO) they claim the problem is being wrapped up now.. and to hang tight.. YAHOO LIVE CHAT told me to just get a new email account.. GEE THANKS! that helps!

Well, my e-mails finally started coming through. They are coming through in large bunches at a time. They are a bit out of order time-wise, but I’m just glad to be able to read them in my inbox instead of online. I hope everyone else’s issues e-mail have been resolved!

I still can’t get Yahoo Groups to reactivate my bouncing email addresses because I’m still getting the “Page Cannot Be Displayed” or “Page Cannot Be Found” error messages! I’ve had to remove myself from several groups and shift email addresses. Can you possibly help?

I have a serious suggestion that needs to be fixed so that everyone doesn’t get as frustrated as I am right now and as there is NO WHERE else to write suggestions, I am putting it here. I am trying to “Join a Yahoo Group” and the Captcha or whichever “anti-automated” image thingy that you have where one must enter the letters and then “Submit”. Well, YOU CAN’T READ THE LETTERS and who has time to keep trying!!! My God! I tried at least 6 times and then just gave up! Please fix that because it is unbelievably frustrating! How many other people are giving up?
Yahoo, get your act together please! User-friendly is a good thing!

I have two groups that haven’t gotten mail since yesterday. Is there a problem with the mail coming through too? It’s just strange. Some groups I have are not experiencing any problems….but others are?

Hi,
this seems to be a local cache issue. clean up the browser cache, delete the cookies, del. the contents of prefetch (in XP) delete the temp folder and temporary internet files folder, if this doesnot fix the problem, log on to your group as moderator delete the group and make a fresh start.

I’m really surprised to read that this has now been resolved. Our members haven’t been able to upload group photos for a year now. I have been requesting a fix for this since 2007 July.
I appreciate Jami’s updates. But if all issues have now been resolved, why can’t our 171 members upload photos without getting a network error? We are based in the UK and Ireland, using various networks, all our photos are family-friendly, and I’ve taken the trouble to log the problem and respond to Yahoo with details.
Someone needs to have the courtesy to let Jami know that all problems have not been resolved. I think we have been incredibly patient by staying with Yahoo for a year while they promised to fix the issue. I don’t think closing logged calls as resolved qualifies as a resolution. I do know that anyone who was enthusiastic about Groups is losing interest, and thinks that their mods don’t care about their Photo problem. I guess they don’t appreciate that we don’t care to bore them by posting monthly that nothing has changed, except for the fact that our loyalty and investment in Yahoo is slowly eroding along with our patience and credibility.
How do you keep saying Yes, we know, we’re onto it? Month after month? Sigh.

As of today, 7/29/08, our group cannot upload photos. I checked everything out and we have no restrictions on phtos. They don’t have to be approved and members still can’t upload. All four of us Moderator’s can do this. Not sure what’s wrong, but I can’t find the problem directly related to our group. Any tips?
